About

Privacy

The short version: this is a plain static site. No accounts, no login, no advertising trackers, and no cookies set by us.

What's collected

  • Basic traffic stats. The site uses a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service to count page views and referrers in aggregate. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not build a profile.
  • Standard server logs. The site's host keeps short-lived request logs — IP address, page, timestamp — as any web server does, for security and reliability.
  • Visa-alert email, if you sign up. The visa guide has an optional form for one thing only: being emailed when China's entry rules change. If you use it, your email address is stored by a third-party email service (MailerLite) purely to send those alerts — no other mail, no sharing. You confirm the sign-up by clicking a link in a first email, every alert has a one-click unsubscribe, and asking us to delete your address removes it.

What's not collected

  • No accounts, passwords or payment details — there's nothing to log into and nothing is sold here.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data.

Outbound links

“Book” links redirect through partner sites (see the disclosure page). Once you leave TripIntoChina, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
